"What still baffles me," Erin said somewhat to herself as Leon started to report in, "is how did it spread if we were all in stasis?" She looked around at the ship's interior.
"If we were all in seperate pods, how did it spread?"
Suddenly, she realized who Leon had just finished talking to.
"Raf!" Erin grabbed Leon's arm and called into the radio. "Which button? Which?" She found and pressed the call button. "Raf! When can I get to my plants? They need me. I need to. . .When?"
Erin looked up at Leon and quickly released his arm. "Sorry!" She hastily apologized as her face turned a bright shade of red.

"I'm afraid that is up to the doctor. If he feels he can catalog the rest of the injuries and casualties himself then you can resume your normal duties." Raf continued steering the ship. What the doctor said had struck a chord. A contagious virus? Could that be what was wrong with my hand? Should I mention it? "What are the symptoms to this virus, doctor?"

uuuuuuuuuuh,I,I,I, t-think it would be a good idea if she got a head start on finding a herble cure for this virus. Uh, Erin, w-would you like me to escort you t-there? Leon mannaged to say after gapping at her for a little over a min. after that Raf asked for the symptomes of the virus.
So far we, we k-know that the iruses of the eyes change color, and,and there's a groth or rash that covers the skin th-thats a y-yellowish c-color. he answered still a little taken back by Erin's sudden actions.

Still blushing, Erin hung her head and avoided Leon's stare.
"Whichever one is fine. . .," she answered shyly. "Put me where you want me." Erin gasped and clapped her hand over her mouth.
"Wait! I-I-I-. . .didn't mean. . .!" Erin hunched down even more in her wheelchair.

Leon burst out in histerical laughter, for it was the only other thing he could do. After all it was quite funny once you thought about it, and the more he thought about it the more funny it did become, until he couldn't quite grasp why he'd thought it was funny in the first place., and quickly quiten down.
I,I, know what you mean, I,uh ,think. We are talking about wether you want me to escort you there or not right?

Erin slumped further into her chair.
"Uh. . .yeh. . .if you want. . .I-I-I can stay or g-go. . .," Erin mumbled. She suddenly tried to get out of the chair on her own. She had embarrassed herself and only wanted to get away. But when she tried to stand, she began to fall forward.

out of pure reflex Leon lurched forward, and Erin landed in his arms. Their eyes met for a slight moment , causing Leon to turn a few shades redder than he already was ,but he didn't just look away, it was if he were stuck in a trance. Finaly he processed the look Erin was giving him back and placed her gently back into the wheelchair and stepped away from her.
Please, don't do that again, It scares me. he said in almost a whisper but still loud enough for her to hear.

Erin was somewhat surprised at how quickly Leon moved to catch her. Her gazed conveyed that surprise. She gave him a quizzical look. When he continued to stare ate her, it formed into a shy grin. She allowed him to set her back in her chair. Leon then mumbled something.
"Sorry," Erin replied, also quietly. "I didn't mean to."

Uh, it, it's ok, you just spooked me. Leon told her feeling that maybe he'd hurt her feelings.
With that he walked back over to her and took the handles on the back of the chair and started moving fowardd, carfuly not to send it flying because of the slight lack of gravity.
So now,I thought before you rather be with yur plants right now. Why are you suddenly letting me decide wether you stick with me or not? curiosity had began to get the better of him, and his shyness was begening to fade away slightly. For some reason her shyness made him feel more at ease.

"I don't know," Erin replied to Leon. "Truth is, I've only ever worked with plants. . .I don't know many people. . ." Erin kinda surprised herself. She had never been around someone or talked to someone this much before. In an odd way, the stuttering doctor comforted her and made her nervous at the same time. She didn't understand it. Erin wanted to return to her plants but, at the same time, wanted to stay with Leon. He seemed to be someone she could finally relate to.

Yes, I think, I know what you mean. My work makes it hard to make friends. Always worried about getting attached to the wrong people, and after being so antisocial for so long, I,I really don't know what to s-say to anyone anymore. Uh, maybe we should finish up here, then head back to the plants. Maybe we both can learn a, a thing or two from one another. Plus,uh it kinda saves me a trip back up here. Leon told her torn between finding out more about this new virus and getting Erin back to her own job. He could see the longing to be back with her plants in her eyes, and he was begening to enjoy her compainy a bit more.

"Er, hello? Anything I can do?" Luna asked. "I asked you a while back but no-one replied. Do you want me to check on the pods, perhaps wake up those who aren't ill?"

Leon heard Luna on the com and paniced.
No! stay away from the pods, and anyone who you suspect might be infected. We don't know anything about this contagen, or how easly it speards. But it would be helpful if you could go to the cotrol room and have the computer unlock the Medic Lab if possible. t, that is wa, what you do right?? Leon asked nervously.

"Yeh, I'll stay with you," Erin agreed with Leon. Suddenly, a message crackled over the intercom. And Leon replied almost in a panic.
"Oh, no! What if somebody has already messed with the pods?!" Erin excliamed.

Leon scratched his chin, in deep thought.
Uh, let's hope that hasn't happened. If it were to happen that person would have possibly spread the viruse though out the entire ship and it would be impossible to control in any way. Let's keep our fingers crossed on that one. Right now, that's all we can do.
Leon answered and gently pushed her chair along the hall to the nex pod chamber.

"Should you really be that worried about it?" Raf's hand hovered over the keys. "You said you didn't know how it spread. If it was going from pod to pod we could all be infected. Or it might even have come from a genetic disorder stirred up by the scientists when the made half of our st--crew." He almost said 'stock' as that is what the computer frequently called them as this was intended to be a productive colony. This time he couldn't quite hold in the blush like the one he'd felt during that brief mushy moment between Leon and Erin.
"Luna? If you can, make your way up here. I'll need you for the reentry calculations." Rafaelle skimmed over the computer's log of her training. Backup pilot? With all these problems at least they decided to give me a replacement. In case... He tried to shut out that thought. He was more interested in her physics training and getting everyone to the planet safely, not his good health, or lack of it.
"Got anything Ember?" She had completely zoned, but shook herself out of it at his inquiry.
"Sorry I don't know. It seems like somebody tried to jam an audio file through the telegraph. It kinda screwed it up though. I don't know if I can fix it." She held up her hands in a shrug.
"Audio file? How did we pick up an audio file?"
"That's what don't get. We're in the middle of space its not like there are any radio stations around here."

"Yeah, I'm coming" Luna said, and went to the bridge. "Leon, could the virus have spread through the life support system?"
She went to the computer. "Computer, unlock the medical room." It didn't respond, so she had to unlock it manuelly. "Oh, great. Now the computer isn't working that well."
Once she'd done that she went to help with the reentry calculations. "Is the entire ship to land, or are we using the boats? And if you are landing the entire ship, are you sure the engines won't contaminate the landing area? Is it even designed to be landed? If it doesn't have heat shielding..."

Leon thought for a moment, then shook his head.
We can't be sure of anything till I get someone who's live with the virus. Either way it's better if we'er catious in any case. No reason to take risks I say. we'er at the next pod now, I'll make my report on it's satus shortly. Leon told them as he steared the wheel chair into the door.
As soon as he saw the room he was tempted to push the chair back out again though. Most of the pods where open in this one, and it appeared that everyone had been alive just moments before. It looked as if they'd had some sort of brawl and killed eachother. He turned Erin away so that she wouldn't have to look at the gor.
uh, you guys might wanna be careful, this virus might be making it's victums violent. We've just enter the secound pod chamber and it apears that the survivers all killed one another. If that's the case it's going to be harder to find a live subject than I thought. I'll take over the list if you don't want to do this one, E-Erin.
Leon told her sypatheticaly trying his best not to stutter.

OOC: Mushy moment? I don't remember that one, Jish. . .
Erin let out a tiny "eep!" as she caught a glimpse of the next room. Her stomach churned a bit as the image remained in her head. She closed her eyes tightly and covered her mouth and nose. Erin listened to Leon's offer.
"You can't go in there!" she said , wide-eyed. "Are you crazy?! What if one is still alive?!" Paranoia started kicking in.
"Doesn't the blood make it easier to contract the virus? What if one is still in there, wating? What if one got out and is roaming the ship?! What are we going to do?!" Erin rambled. There was a tiny trace of panic in her voice, but her speech remained normal. She didn't sound as freaked out as she really was, just concerned.

OOC: 'Mushy' mayn't be the best word... But you were both blushing like schoolgirls.
IC: "We're taking the whole ship. You're concerns are valid. This ship is going to leak nuclear radiation on the landing site, and the shielding isn't quite up to par with the thickness of the atmosphere, but like I said, the risks are slightly less with this option." Rafaelle looked up at her. "We have to hope that there is something soft to land on too. No landing gear." He smiled despite himself. "In the sake of possible imminent death, I have a bit of a confession to make doctor. My right hand is useless, has been since I woke up in my pod. My entire arm is numb and I fear it is spreading." He glanced at Luna again. "You might have to do a bit more than reentry calculations, unfortunately."

Loen rubbed his chin thoughtfuly.
ooc: honestly I don't know what you'd call it, but for the record what ever happens ic is strickly the character I'm playing as.
IC:
it sounds like you could have something attacking your nervous system. It could very well be a symptom of this viruse. I wish you'd told me beforehand so I could have taken a look at it. Captian, tell me is your arm starting to turn yellow?
He asked as he cautiously walked foward into the room. Then he heard Erin beggin him not to go in.
Don't worry, th-this is all part of the job. W-we won't know what we'er facing until we gather more information on it. Be- sides, if someone in there is still alive. I, I have to try and help them. he told her and started to take a few more steps forward, and began carfuly gathing nametags after putting on a freash pair of gloves.

OOC: Are we the only people left on the ship? And what planet are we landing on?
IC: "Are we the only people left on the ship? How many where there to start with?" Luna asked as she seated herself in the co-pilots seat, which would have, under ideal conditions, had Raf seated in it. She felt a bit uncomfortable in the seat, knowing that it wasn't her place and she'd been forced to take it out of neccesity. "I need to know so we can concentrate them all in the place in the ship most likely to survive reentry. Fear gripped her as she suddenly realized something. "Raf... what about my stored embryos? I'm not sure they'll be able to survive the reentry. Without them we might as well be dead, for all the trouble we are going to to land."

Leon took the thought to lightly and smiled as an awfuly though that crossed his mind. Before he'd thought to stop his self he'd spoken the thought outloud.
It just means we'll have to reproduce the oldfashion way. Which means whoever isn't infected should start to partner up with some one of the opposite sex. he said it jokingly, but there way a hint of truthfulness behind it. He soon slaped his hand acrossed his mouth when he relized what he'd said, and quickly glanced behind hoping Erin had not taken offence.

Erin covered her face with her hands as Leon entered the room. She whimpered as she peeked between her fingers, hoping that nothing would happen. She wouldn't be able to help nor would anyone else.
Erin listened to the radio conversation, hoping for good news. Suddenly, Leon piped up.
Reproduce the old-fashion way?! Was he serious?! Erin dropped her hands from her face, her mouth slightly opened. Her eyes came in contact with Leon's and grew wide. Why is he looking at me?!

OOC: Forgive me if my ellipse isn't in the right place.
IC: "That would have worked..." Luna said, "if it wasn't for the infection dropping our genetic diversity to unsafe levels. Or we could just rescue a few of the embryos, sperm, and egg samples we have." A thought crossed her mind. "Leon, are we the only uninfected people on the ship, and how many started the journey? It would be very useful to know."
